The year is now 2011, and with a new year comes new resolutions. I am going to tell you my new year resolutions. Not all of them though, only the ones I want to put on the wide web for all eyes to see. Enjoy!
My first resolution is to be more organized. When it's time to come to class I forget to check the board so I end up having to many supplies, or not enough supplies. I tried to get this right in 2010 but my year got off on the wrong foot and I sort of hopped from there. This is an important resolution because if your not organized, you know where nothing is and if you don't know where your stuff is, how are you supposed to finish your work without your stuff? This year I am not quite sure I will be good at this kind of organization till 7th grade because I already lost my binder for more than half of the day. Later I found out that it had just been in Mr.Thomas' class for the whole Christmas vacation. The good news is I have it back, the bad news it for Science I am going to have to get that one stamp I missed because I didn't have my binder at the time. I also just found out that my binder doesn't have my Humanities stamp sheet in it. Oops, talk about un-organized!
My second resolution is to sing in front of the school at least once. I usually only sing to my friends and they end up saying I'm really good, but I am to shy to try out for the assemblies. (I am not quite sure yet if they say that because their my friends, or they really mean it) I was going to try out singing a song with a boy in my grade, but auditions for vocals ended up ending before we could try out. I want to sing in front of the whole school because I want to be noticed. When I am older I actually want to be a singer. I want to be the most famous female singer to ever live. My inspiration is actually Justin Bieber. I am currently now practicing songs then singing them to my friends to see what they think of me. So far I have gotten wonderful comments. I believe this is going to be the first resolution to be ticked off on my list.
My third resolution is to be even kinder to others. This is a actually a resolution, that in my point of view, has many ways of revealing itself. Being kind is not only, you know, being kind, but it is also listening and following directions to the person who's talking to you. It also counts because listening to someone and following directions is kind. So that means I am not only kinder to my friends and family. But also my teachers. Mr.Thomas is always telling us that you have to have respect to be respected. And respect is kindness because if you respect someone, it counts as being kind. You get what I'm saying? This is an important resolution because if you don't listen and you interrupt, people will start to not be very happy with you. They may yell or treat you in the same manner, the un-kind manner. This is also important because what I've learned over the years, if your kind to people, family, and teachers that means your on their good side. Trust me, it is NOT to pleasant to be on their bad side. It will help you get better grades, plus more love and friendship.
My fourth resolution is to not speak a single lie. I sometimes lie...(Don't worry, their only small lies that no one notices.) But sometimes I make lies and people find out by the internet so then I'm busted. I usually patch up a lie that I make anyways. (You know what, this is just a problem I have.) When I lie it's just me basically making up a story. I've already lied this year but I am willing to stop now. This is important because if you lie, you feel guilty after, but are afraid to patch it up cause you don't know how their react. This is also important because, well, you know, lies are really bad. Got to stop lying right about... NOW!
My fifth resolution is to only make nick-names that people agree with. I have a friend, I give her lots of nick-names. Their funny and she knows I'm kidding, so we always have a good laugh after. But now I'm pretty sure I'm getting on her nerves, so I've decided to stop. I am now going to ask her if the nick-name is OK. But it's not just for her, I am going to start asking everyone else to if they like the nick-name I give them. This is important because if you give someone a nick-name that they really don't enjoy, then it's not really a nick-name, it becomes name-calling. You may call someone "4 eyes" because you think that nick-name is cool. But if they don't like it and it hurts their feelings, then that nick-name becomes a "bully name". No nick-naming without knowing if it counts as name-calling!
Was your Christmas vacation fun? Well, most of the time my was a bore. Except for the time that my grandparents flew to us to celebrate Christmas as a great big family. Honestly though, I love school, so I don't really care if there is ever a Summer or not. There were some days we left the house, but we didn't leave very often. Either way I always seem to have fun. I am going to give you some snap shots of some things that happened over the Christmas vacation. Enjoy!
First things first, on the last day of school, before Christmas break, we left early so we could take the car ride to Penang. We would going to be staying at the Holiday Inn, the new one though, not the old one. The car ride was very enjoyable, we got to play Nintendo and eat junkfood. We also had fun trying to follow the rental car that my dad was driving so that my grandma and grandpa could come with us. He had the GPS so my mom had to follow him. We commented on some funny licence plates. When we got there the rooms were quite big. We went out to this one Hocker stand for dinner and it was really good. The food was fantastic, the had italian to western to indian. There was many kinds. The choices were endless!! At the hotel me and my sister swam a lot. At one point we went on a boat ride. We were going to go to a place called Monkey Beach. It was fun until we realized the guy we had payed disappeared before we even could go fishing! We ended up being picked up and then having to go fishing in the rain un prepared. The man had to look around the boat for fishing spins because it wasn't his boat. Mainly the kids ended up fishing. That was a downer. Later on Dad, my sister and I went on a banana boat. It was very smooth and fun. When ever we hit a big wave I screamed. My mom said she could hear me screaming from where she was sitting, which was by the pool. Soon we had to go back to KL though so we could celebrate Christmas. We ended up being in Penang for 5 days. So fun!
Another snap shot is the count down for new years. Our good friends ended up coming over. my brother, my friends brother, my friend and I tried to make a series called "The BreakUp Files#1". Long story short it sucked and after the countdown my friend and I laughed on how stupid we were to try to make a show series last year. We ended up laughing saying yeah, we new nothing back then. It was so fun. Once dad counted to zero for the countdown we all took a swig of champagne. (Grownups took alcoholic and kids took non-alcoholic) My sister ended up dropping her glass. (Talk about new years bad luck) Plus the view of the fire-works we got was good, but not something you would remember in your lifetime. Woohoo! The shift between 2010 and 2011!
The last event I'm going to tell you about was a party we had the day before school started. It was wonderful with all the food and desert people brought. I ended up feeling sick I ate to much sugar. But I was so happy I didn't really care how I felt. When supper came there was this one little girl who didn't want to go down and insisted she stayed up by herself. I'm not quite sure how to handle little kids so I just said fine. She said she would only come down when I assisted her once I was done eating. I asked my mom if it was okay after I walked downstairs. She said it was fine. Sadly, it wasn't. While we were eating we heard a thud and a crying scream. Turns out she decided to come down even though she insisted she stay up. She ended up falling down half the first flight of stairs. I felt so bad. But after that little scene was done, it was so much fun! Don't worry, we started the party early so we would be in bed by 8:30pm! (We ate at around 5:00pm)
During the Christmas break was also Christmas day. The wonderful day where you open your presents from Santa Claus and act all happy because you love all the presents you received. When I woke up on Christmas day, just like every year, there's the long wait at around 8:00am. Then there's the usual thing my mom and dad do every year where they don't let us downstairs (That's the waiting part.) and they act like Santa didn't come. Honestly, their not very good at acting so we can totally tell that Santa actually came. When we got downstairs we realized that the cookie we had left had be eaten, and that the milk had been slurped down. (Doesn't Santa feel sick after a while?) There was also Santas' big red hat. I ended up squealing with joy and wearing the hat. Our stockings were filled and we got all the stuff we wanted. Now, this is wear the snapshot ends because it is already to long, plus I'm not going to tell you what I got. Your gonna have to ask me in person if you want to know. (Hahaahaha)
At one point we also decided to go roller-blading. I wasn't very excited because it was at the same place I busted my chin resulting to stitches, but after a while, I got used to it. I ended up having fun. (After I was reminded how to roller-blade, I hadn't gone in around 2 years.) We also played on this Jungle Gym that was right next to the roller-blading rink. It was really fun. There were spinner that if you hopped on one you wouldn't stop spinning and get an adrenaline rush. (It was very hard to hop off though.) We took several breaks and the last time we decided to go on this boy started throwing plastic balls at us from the ball pit. We had to run away from him because he was really annoying us. He also kept hitting us. (He was probably about 6 by the looks of things.) At one point he started chasing after me. My reaction, running and screaming only to start to go slower on some swirly stairs leading into the ball pit. The next thing I knew he grabbed my shirt while I was in the ball pit. He then held me down and SPANKED ME!!! It was so creepy and weird! It also hurt. He had a grip and a strong arm. Great, now I have another thing to be afraid of when I go there.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post as much as I enjoyed typing it! Christmas break was so much fun! But it was also a bore... (Lets just say it was a, how do I put this by mixing the words together, "bun" maybe?) Anyway hope you love 2011 as much as I am loving it! Happy New Year!!!!!
